By all means a pistol should be good and worth the risk of pulling out etc, but take the Tac.45 on BO2 as an example,
HC = 1 Hit kill
Core = 2-3 Hit kill
Thats abit over the top for pistol, Any pistol should be at least a 2 hit kill on HC maybe with the exception of the executioner.
