Well, I guess that's not that surprising since they wouldn't wanna let anyone mess with the rights to their biggest properties. It basically seems like it'd be a way to get spec scripts out for new TV writers, which is nice. Yeah, it'd be my first sci-fi one, though sci-fi is basically a type of fantasy, you know, so all that writing Mists should definitely help. A lot of the same things that help that kinda story help a sci-fi story, you know? It's ok, Hawk. It's ok. Just let the tears come. We all understand.
@Iron: Can I at least get a blue E? I don't think red shows up that well if I get sunburned, you know, and we want people to see it at all times, of course. Yeah, that's exactly the plan. Get a normal job in something that's hopefully halfway interesting and keep writing so hopefully something does well enough that I can focus on writing. Even if that doesn't happen, it's just plain cool to be able to look at a book on a shelf and say, "I wrote that." That's something special, I think.
I knew Iron's analysis of all the little details of the movie was gonna come eventually! haha, I always chalk things like the underwater ship to movie/video game/TV logic and don't worry too much about it, since I figure not everything's gonna be realistic and logical. If I was worried too much about that, I'd watch real life, you know? Everyone thinks about these things differently, though. My brother thinks the same way as you do about it, Iron, so it always annoys me watching movies with him! haha
