So, back in early November, I was hyped for the release of ghosts. Luckly for me, I know a friend who can get early copies, so I got my copy WITH free-fall for $40 from him . At first, this game was amazing! It was everything CoD was trying to accomplish for the past 3 games: fast pace, close quarters combat. However, free-fall was an utter disaster. One game on it and I never wanted to play on it again. After about 2 weeks of the game, it started going downhill. Not sure why, but it just seemed like the game got some secret update that Activision never said ****-all about. In this update contained a complete over-haul of the game, including shitty spawns, connection issues even as host, accuracy mess ups, and even a stupidly easy out-of-the-map glitch on basically every map with a moveable object. It went from a game of 'skill' to a game of who had the better connection. So, I put the game away for a week and cooled off, played some hardcore LoL, and hoped I had just played too much CoD.
I was horribly wrong. December 1st and the game is worse than it was before. Even as host other people were killing me before I saw them around corners, bullets weren't on point, nothing played right. Then the 1-shot kills were introduced. Any assault rifle can 1 shot you from the chest up. Never fixed. Put the game away until now; stuck with LoL, BF4 and GTAV.
So today I put the game in, thinking 'I'll give it one more shot before I make my final decision' (to sell, that is). One shot kills still not fixed, connection issues as bad as ever, and to make matters worse, the introduction of the Maverick has made CoD no longer just a game of 'Who has the better connection' but also a pay-to-win game. Word of advice, IW: Making paid DLC weapons OP doesn't make more people want to buy it; it pushes them away. There are reasons people didnt buy the DLC, and making the game pay-to-win isn't changing our minds.
The only good thing about Ghosts was the Single-player. That was one awesome campaign. Extinction was a shitty failed zombies (just like survival? *hint**hint) and the multiplayer is broken beyond repair, with the game now being a pay-to-win.
Call of Duty doesn't need another series to step in the shut the game down, it's doing it by itself.
