Re: 100 Things we HATE about Black Ops 2

First of all "WE" = "YOU" in this context, because that's a personal opinion that not all people share...

I can't believe I wasted all this time responding to your thread, oh well.

@jaywilkes93: The higher rank you opponents are, the more bonus you get for winning. As hard as Treyarch/Activision tries to match you to the right teams, there is limited number of lobbies available, so you have to play against those that are available.

1) COD games are consistent, making people who love the series buying the next one, because they know what to expect. Yes, many of us would wish there was more or something different, but that's why there are other games. Black Ops 2, like the rest of COD games allow competitive gamers continue to grow in their skill game after game instead of relearning from scratch each game.

2) I kind of agree with this one, there should be a way for a game to know that you already have that DLC.

3) I somewhat agree, DLCs seem a bit overpriced, but on the other hand buying them pays developers keep working on more and better content for you. All the developers are getting paid salaries and it's the gamers that provide the means (it's like buying songs on iTunes pays music artists).

4) It's called League Play for a reason! It's for those players who want to be more competitive!! Don't like it, don't play it, there are plenty that do.

5) I am perfectly happy with the balance of this game mode.

6) I am not a network engineer and I am sure neither are you, but lag compensation can be a very good thing. This argument goes back to the days of Counter-Strike on PCs, where gamers would adjust configuration files to gain network advantage. When you play against someone across the continent or in another country, not having lag compensation would make player movement more choppy and sometimes impossible to play with.

7) You are joining games in progress because there are not enough other lobbies at that time, not because Treyarch/Activision wants to screw you over. And you are joining the losing team, because most people leave lobbies because they lose!

8) I agree that people hack or do boosting to prestige, but if you don't want to prestige - don't. Once again, there are plenty of people that like the feature. For one, ignoring the hackers and boosters, for majority of players it shows how much you have played the game and whether to expect the opponent to be stronger (it was of course more obvious before, when the game first came out and not that many people got to Master). Also, it's a reward system, it's virtual, but it's enough for many. Farmville and all those Facebook games have reward systems too that do nothing in real world or outside of the game, yet many still strive to get better.

9) You already discarded prestige and league play, so how can you talk about "nothing to aim for"? Instead of making a blank statement like that, you could have made a suggestion.

10) No comment.

11) Get better, see #9. And you keep talking about network a lot, maybe you should check if your ISP is bad (run Speedtest and compare to others in your area).

12) FMJ only affects wallbanging and not direct impact. How did you expect Treyarch/Activision to display it to you? They clearly wrote it in a description of the attachment. And it makes a difference (lookup "Drift0r FMJ" on YouTube).

13) How is that different from flashbang or concussion grenades? Can you see a flashbang? All three disable you in many different ways. That's the point!

14) I barely ever used it, but IMHO it's a great feature.

15) Personal preference. Two games run on different engines (Frostbyte 2 vs IW 3), but unfortunately I will agree that BF graphics are a bit better.

16) You contradict yourself from #9. I guess there is something to aim for - get better! Not everyone uses dexterity, that's an over exaggeration, some simply have faster reflexes.

17) ...

18) I can write "get better" to most of your complains.

19) Gotta love it.

20) 90% of good players will not use this attachment for exact reason of making it too easy to use, but it gives bad players a chance against those better gamers.

21) Personal preference.

22) Have you ever been on a carrier? Just like before, instead of simply complaining, tell us what would have made it better.

23) Turn down in-game voice, problem solved.

24) I guess there is a way to find something to aim for! Get good enough to be invited into a team and then you'll be on the other side of the advantage.

25) First one I fully agree with, actually it was proven (again, check out "Drift0r foregrip" on YouTube).

26) I wish timeouts applied to other game modes, instead of allowing Kamikaze gameplay. Play smarter and be the one that makes your opponents sit for those 7 seconds and wait.

27) Quickscoping applies to sniper weapons not shotguns..

28) You are getting repetitive, it's the same as #7. You said there is "nothing to aim for", well maybe if you got better, you wouldn't complain about this one.

29) If you allowed game code to take more time to decide where to spawn you, the game would lag more. And why more emphasis on FFA, when this game type is all about run-and-gun.

30) The more I read, the more I realize that you are simply not a good gamer. Betties are easiest to avoid. If you have decent reaction, when you hear the beeps (which are very distinct) - crouch and that's it. And if you are a little better, you can dolphin dive right into them. "Nothing to aim for" - aim to improve your skill.

31) Not all killcams will be great, but some are worth seeing in slow motion.

32) Personal preference again. Making maps bigger, would force gamers to run around maps more and longer - this is not a marathon. And if you prefer jogging, play BF.

33) I agree that's annoying, but it's not game design issue, it's personalities (or lack of them).

34) Yes, I agree that campaign was very mediocre, one of the worst in the series (but that's just my personal opinion).

35) Don't die and you'll be the last survivor or help your teammate.

36) Clan tags allow teams to stand out and be creative. I just wish there was an option to make them on PCs or at least smartphones.

37) "Nothing to aim for". Just go to YouTube, search for Optic Gaming, Fariko, FaZe, etc.

38) Don't play it, vote for other maps, leave lobbies - there are options.

39) Don't play Hardcore modes or get better. They are called that for a reason.

40) Never heard of this "glitch".

41) So bullets don't go through helmets?

42) Exactly! Play smart.

43) Learn the corners and take those campers out. As you mentioned lag compensation before, rushers have an advantage to campers - runner will see a camper first! It's a fact, google it. So become a better gamer and you won't be on the other end of that killcam.

44) It might be annoying to sit for a few seconds waiting, but it's more annoying to have unbalanced latency, especially if you are the one at disadvantage.

45) This is campaign related, ok, I agree with this.

46) Good. Now try to use it at a distance. Play smart and it won't be an issue.

47) So use them! If you can hit someone with tomahawk, before they get to shoot you, I praise your skill (sarcasm).

48) Get better headphones, adjust audio settings to "Supercrunch", if needed, get awareness perk. There are options.

49) I know this gun, now what?

50) There is "Theater" for that. Bookmark the game and go watch the video, export it, share it.

51) It's your personal opinion, I have no problem with it. You forgot to mention or don't know that you can also target UAVs with it.

52) So make sure you have a good team (or hope for one).

53) I thought you said there is nothing to aim for. Be the guy who gets lodestars and dogs and swarms.

54) I though 870 was a problem (point #46).

55) Boosters are an issue, but not "common". League Play? You mean, when two or more people play together to win? That's not boosting, that's good team play - that's the point!

56) And?

57) Not into zombies, no comment.

58) Ok, I agree. What's your point?

59) There is math behind each XP, learn it.

60) Put extended mag on other weapons or grab FAL and you'll do the same effect.

61) Don't see a problem. It's all about skill.

62) Ha?

63) Not if you know how to play smart. You can't run fast with them, they are bulky, they are not as precise.

64) Depends on game mode. Stop playing FFA or TD, play objectives and it won't be a problem.

65) VSAT is a high streak, so the one who gets it, deserves to use it.

66) Shoot in the head next time.

67) Yes, but useless at distance. It seems you call everything overpowered.

68) I agree, it sucks, but it's not a game design fault, blame it on quitters.

69) Seriously? Didn't even notice the number until you said it and you just mentioned "immaturity".. Wait, are you a comedian, pretending to be a kid?

70) ...

71) Ok.

72)

73) This I agree with. I wish there was an option for players to vote on "inappropriate" content of logos, but then again, you don't like it, don't look at it.

74) Your personal opinion on the quality, but delay is a way to prevent voice overlay!

75) More overpowered stuff. Which weapons did you not mention yet? Let's put the entire inventory here.

76) No extra ammo? What?

77) Laser sight IS for hip-fire only. Did you even read descriptions of each attachment?

78) I disagree. They are annoying, but can get into buildings and covers, where other streaks cannot.

79) Smoke grenades are great and allow for smarter game play for certain players. Through it at a camper and keep running. Solves your issue with corner campers.

80) If it was any faster, it would have been overpowered and it's still useful, if you know how to use it.

81) MTAR has it's advantages, FAL, SCAR.. each has their own. It's your personal preference.

82) I would agree with this. Unfortunately, that would mean that every time you join a lobby, your Xbox would need to download all the calling cards of other gamers!!!

83)

84) Personal opinion.

85) I agree.

86) And? Play with your friend and use that to your advantage. Can't play split screen in League Play and Public Matches are just that - public = for fun.

87) Deadly streak, but hard to get. The one who gets it, deserves to use it.

88) By "prohibition", you meant probation. You just mixed two separate things together.

89) I agree, so don't use it. Same can be said about lava camo (it shines in the dark!).

90) Dolphin diving is fantastic, changing recovery time would overpower it's use.

91) And?

92) Your issue, never had that problem. If you turn off theater mode, that's a different issue.

93) 6 days? Good for them, but show us proof.

94) Are you an elephant? Don't get this one..

95) Scar was barely used, giving it a boost made a bit more interesting to play with. Patches can't fix everything. It's true not only for games, but any software.

96) Love it! Learn it and maybe you wouldn't be complaining as much about overpowered weapons, attachments, etc.

97) I agree that it would be useful to see latency (what you call "ping") on scoreboard.

98) And?

99) A bit more and it would be overpowered, making it harder to play objectives, especially Capture The Flag.

100) So go play MW3. Proficiency should be with the gamer, not in-game "perks", imho.
